Letterland is a fun,well-established and successful English program which is used to help children to recognize letters of the alphabet and to read and write. It is the main phonics based system which we use in the classroom.

With Letterland the children learn the actual sounds that letters make in words. A letter name is quite different from the sound a letter makes and we do not concentrate on the traditional ‘aee’, ‘bee’, ‘cee’ letter names at this stage but if your child already knows the alphabet names that is great!
The Letterland characters are fun to learn and easy to recognize; they are a great way to foster early reading awareness and we encourage you to use these at home too.
